SignUp for Nafas Fitness Classes

Gymstick  Exclusively at Nafas Fitness Studio. Incorporating a stick connected to two resistance bands, these sticks are as effective as lifting free weights. You'll recieve a full body workout improving balance, posture, core and muscle strength along with endurance. All levels are welcome. Space is limited.

TABATA TRAINING  High intensity interval training. It consists of eight rounds of ultra high intensity exercises in a specific 20 seconds on 10 seconds off interval. All levels are welcome. (modifications are available)

 

Morning Blast Wake your body up with a series of cardiovascular and strength training exercises. Weights, resistance bands, jumpropes etc. may be used.
 
Fitness BootCamp A popular interval class that mixes calisthenics and body weight exercises with cardio and strength training. We want to challenge you and make you work your hardest!

Tighten & Tone  T&T creates muscles that are toned and lengthened, not big and bulky. Your legs will look leaner, your booty will look firmer and your abs will become stronger! This class is open to men and women of all levels!

Zumba

ZUMBA  A fun, energizing and easy to follow dance program that will get you moving and shaking to the greatest in Latin music! Come join the party! Beginners through advanced are welcome. Warning: Zumba is very addicting!

Zumba Toning  Zumba toning is the perfect way to sculpt your body naturally while having a blast! Fun routines with added shaker weights to increase the intensity. Shaker weights are provided.

Fitness/Dance 

B. Barre FitOne of the hottest new work outs!  You do not have to be a ballerina to take this class. This class wil help you achieve the long lean dancers body. Toning, streaching, and lengthing. You will leave feeling great! All levels welcome

Pilates Is a non-inpact system of excersise that focuses on the deep muscles of the abdomen and spine. Lengthing and strengthing resulting in long ,lean, strong, but flexible muscles without the bulk.

Booty Bunz Exclusively at Nafas! The name says it all; we're focusing on the buns! We want to tighten and tone with a series of squats, lunges, and inner thigh exercises. We promise you will feel the burn! (45 min class)

Belly Dance for Beginners This course is designed for students new to belly dance or seeking a belly dance refresher. Students will learn basic belly dance technique including postures, isolations, traveling steps and simple combinations. No dance experience necessary. 

Intermediate Belly Dance Dancers begin a more focused approach to classical belly dance, technical percision and rhythm based movements. Combinations will be taught using props such as; zills, canes and scarfs. This class is open to those who have had prior belly dancing experience. (Nafas has coin scarfs for purchase)

Adult Tap  Have you always wanted to take tap class? Now is your opportunity! Burn calories and feel good about yourself while creating rhythms with your feet! This class is so much fun you will be hooked! This class will teach you basic rhythm combinations and barre exercises. (Tap shoes are needed)

POUND  Designed for all levels of fitness. This class is inspired by the energizing, sweat dripping fun of playing the drums! Using light weight drumsticks, you get a full body that combines cardio, conditioning and strength training using pilaties and yoga inspired movements.

Yoga 

Yoga Basic This class is designed for the beginner or anyone who wants a more calming, gentle practice with soothing music done in a warm room.

Slow Flow Slow flow is a mindful, slowly paced yoga class that incorporates conscious flowing of breath with movement of the body. Appropriate for all levels. 

All Levels This class is designed to fit the needs of all levels. During this class, classic yoga poses are practiced with an emphasis on alignment and options for modifications. This class is appropriate for people brand new to yoga as well as folks who have been practicing for some time.

Vinyasa  Sun Salutations, standing poses, balancing postures, seated and reclining poses, back bends, core isolations and strengthening. Special emphasis is placed on moving into and out of postures safely, correct alignment, using breath, and learning to quiet the mind. (Music may vary)

Ashtanga  Ashtanga yoga is a vigorous, flowing vinyasa practice.It connects movement with breath in a dynamic series of postures done with calm, focused attention, for strength, flexibility and a quiet mind.

Short Form Ashtanga  A method of yoga that involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures producing intense internal heat. Improves circulation, and creates a strong body and calm mind.

Yin Yoga  Yin yoga works deeply into muscles and connective tissues through extended holds of grounded postures. This one hour class is great for those looking to restore flexibility and/or work deeply into joints and tissues that are "locked up" from past injuries. Yin yoga specifically targets the hips, pelvis and lower spine. Bolsters, yoga blocks and blankets are provided.
